At the upper center of the photo below is the Ghost of an "Old One". By all appearances a spirit apparition of a Shaman. As is seen in the page you used to get here, the 'antap' have headgear. I have known the person who took this photo for 37 years.
The idea of the photographer encountering a ghost is not compatible with the type of person they project themselves as. They are a very rational and focused person not prone to any perceptions that are not concrete and functional.
This photo was taken on the day of the fire at the Branch Davidian ranch in Waco Texas on April 19, 1993. I spoke with the photographer about 1 1/2 years after.
When a person has had an experience that is incredible and they make the decision to share it with you they are putting their credibility on the line. You can see in their scrutiny of your reactions the degree of importance they attach to the presentation of the information. This man, 46 years old at the time, showed me that he was quite concerned about my perceptions of his information.
It was in the afternoon and he spotted the shadowy figure walking around the outside of the house located on a ridgetop. He admitted he was terrified, shaking. At one point the figure walked within 5 feet of the windows to the right of the photo which was in shadow and not a good background. For ten to fifteen minutes this went on and the figure, after this photo continued walking to the left and was not seen again.
The photo was taken on slide film and analyzed by an ex employee of JPL who runs a photo store and no tell tales of manipulation of the side/negative was detected. Below I have enlarged the photo aprox. 600 times. On the left is the area on the left of the figure showing the lower tree branch behind it. On the right is the left side again where the rock is in front of the figure. You decide what is real. First take a look at this digitally manipulated image which shoes a bullet on a flesh colored background.
I found the image which was of a US Marine at a shooting range the bullet was visable in the foreground passing by his forehead. Knowing that this was not a possible photograph I copied it and enlarged it to this. The blue arrow shows the digital alteration. This is what you should be looking for if the ghost image was altered digitally:
Here is the enlargements of the ghost. On left, left side of ghost and tree in background. Right side, lower left of ghost and rock in foreground. Note the brightness of the light collored rock and how it bleeds into the darkened ghost area. If the negative had been altered it does not seem as though this natural effect of film would still be present.
